The Trust works for the protection, preservation and conservation of the built and natural environment in Ayrshire. The Trust recognises the efforts of many individuals and organisations who play their part in this work. The aim of the AAHT ‘Awards' is to recognise and publicise examples of good practice. Through the Awards, we want to celebrate good news and encourage best practice.
The various categories are still under consideration by the Trust and we welcome your feedback or ‘nominations' for any of the categories.
This Award is for Developers who have put forward imaginative plans for conserving or developing buildings, or who have demonstrated a track record of care for the built and natural environment.
This Award is for completed projects that demonstrate real achievement in the conservation of notable buildings or landscapes.
Partners in Progress will recognise partnerships leading to good practice. Examples might be a developer working with a local authority or a cultural organisation, an owner working with a Trust, or a consortium of interests working together to save a problem building.
This Award is intended to highlight buildings that are at risk to help focus minds on potential solutions.
Whilst the primary aim of the Awards is to celebrate best practice, the ‘Must Do Better' award will highlight areas of neglect.
Nominations: Developers or individuals may nominate projects for consideration. Shortlists of Nominations will be prepared with the winners selected by some combination of expert panel and public vote.
Please enter your nomination and add your thoughts regarding this particular nomination.
